Prof. ZHANG, YanZhong Ph.D. Cam
Dr. Zhang graduated from physics dept. of Northwestern University, China, 1962. In 1981, he went to Trinity College of Cambridge University, U.K. to study signal processing, and received his Ph.D. degree in 1984. Dr. Zhang was a visiting professor to the University of Sydney, Australia, 1989. Since 2001, he has been an academician of CAE, and the head of division of Mechanical & Vehicle Engineering in CAE.
Dr. Zhang was a Chief engineer of Ministry of Aviation Industry (MAI), President of Chinese Aeronautical Establishment, a Chief engineer of Ministry of Aero-Space Industry (MAS), President of China Aviation Industry Cooperation II (AVIC II), CEO & Chairman of the board of directors for AviChina Industry & Technology Co. Ltd. Now, He is President of AVIC S&T Committee, Head of expert group for COMAC. Dr. Zhang has been a council member for International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS), and a part time professor at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronauts for more than 20 years.
He used to be Chairman of the organizing committee for the 18th congress of ICAS; President of Chinese Society of Signal Processing; and Vice President of Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering etc. Dr. Zhang has been involved in the fields of mechanical vibration, acoustic, signal processing and aeronautical engineering for more than 40 years. He received 2 International Awards, more than 11 national and ministerial awards, and published 10 books, an English-Chinese dictionary, and more than 200 papers.
